They're not the least expensive vessels out there, but they're not pricey by any means. It's possible to find a week-long Celebrity voyage to the Caribbean or even Europe starting under $1,000 per person, not including taxes and fees — at least in the offseason. For 2022, some week-long Alaska sailings were selling for under $500 per person.
Access to the exclusive Retreat area is reason alone to book one of the contemporary suites. On Refundable fares only the first two guests sharing a stateroom receives at least 20% off per person cruise fare savings Offer (the “Offer”) on selected cruises. The Offer applies to eligible bookings made between 09 April 2024 to 03 June 2024 (the “Offer Period”) on sailings departing 10 April 2024 to 30 April 2026 (the “Sailing Period”), excluding Galapagos sailings and Alaska cruise tours. The cruise fare discount excludes any add-ons & amenities including, without limitation, gratuities, air fares, hotels, transfers, pre-cruise & onboard purchases which will not be discounted as part of the Offer. Once on board a Celebrity ship, you'll pay extra for some things — but not as many things as you might think. As part of Celebrity's new Always Included fare structure, you'll get unlimited drinks (cocktails, wines by the glass, beer and sodas), unlimited Wi-Fi and daily gratuities included as part of the base fare. You'll pay extra for some premium drinks, extra-charge restaurants, spa services, shore excursions and a few other things — unless you've bought a package for some of these items in advance. Most onboard activities such as theater shows are included in the fare.
Iconic Suites
Celebrity ships also are significantly more all-inclusive — and even a tad more upscale — than the ships operated by the other big cruise lines. Since late 2020, the line has included unlimited drinks, Wi-Fi and daily gratuities in its base fare as part of a new Always Included fare structure. As a thank you to our servicemen and women, we’re offering all military members, both active and retired, special savings on select staterooms and suites. Enjoy 75% off your second guest’s cruise fare and get bonus savings of up to $200 on the stateroom you want. Plus, additional guests in your stateroom sail free on select sailings.

After taking my first Mediterranean cruise last year, here's what I think everyone should know before booking the route. As someone who's taken over 50 cruises all over the world, I know firsthand how popular cruising is this year. But one seabound itinerary people often forget to add to their bucket lists is a Mediterranean cruise. One thing that did surprise us, however, was the pool and Solarium hours. While the app indicated that the Solarium closed at 10 p.m., it was closed at 9 p.m., and guests who were in the Solarium pool at this time were asked to leave. With the Classic Drinks Package we had purchased, coffee drinks at the cafe were included.
Newfoundlanders ended up booking the same Caribbean cruise in 'total fluke,' reports say
As a group sailing together, we generally look for a variety of different activities that appeal to each of us. There were other activities as well, including live band karaoke and salsa dance classes. We always had plenty of options for things to do and were never bored.
Back2Back sailing bookings are not eligible for this reduced airfare promotion. Bookings that are created within the stated campaign period but that subsequently move to either a lower price program and/or non-applicable ship & sailing date will not retain the benefits of this promotion. Bookings that are cancelled shall be subject to prevailing cancellation charges. The fifth, final, and largest Solstice-class cruise ship, Celebrity Reflection, will impress even the pickiest of travelers with its onboard activities, amenities, and spaces, including a total of 22 bars, restaurants, and lounges. In addition to The Retreat (reserved exclusively for suite guests) and The Solarium (adults-only), Reflection — along with all Solstice-class ships — boasts the Lawn Club. The adults-only Persian Garden area at the spa is a favorite amongst wellness enthusiasts.
CardMatch
Instead of bustling attractions, the top decks of Celebrity ships offer lots of quiet and relaxing pool and lounge areas where you can enjoy the experience of being at sea without a lot of hustle and bustle. Inside, the experience revolves around dining, classic showroom entertainment and a classy bar and music scene — just as it has on Celebrity ships for years. On Edge-series ships, experience the magic of an Infinite Veranda® stateroom, where the push of a button gives you open-air access to the sea, taking your room right to the water’s edge. At The Retreat, stay in one of our spectacular suites, like the Iconic Suite that offers unparalleled views from above the captain’s bridge, and our breathtaking two-story Edge Villas that come with their own private plunge pool.
These suites are only slightly smaller than Iconic Suites, but their verandas are far tinier. Celebrity's three newest vessels each have several Infinite Veranda solo cabins for cruisers traveling by themselves. Celebrity Edge has 16, and Celebrity Apex offers 24, while Celebrity Beyond boasts 32. They offer 131 to 184 square feet of space with 42- to 45-square-foot interior balcony areas.
Our luxurious fleet merges cutting-edge technology with welcoming interiors and revolutionary venues. Experience visionary spaces, like the Magic Carpet®, that are like nothing you’ve seen before. On our cruise ships, you’ll travel the world while enjoying the height of style, comfort, and service throughout your journey.
While we strive to provide you the best vacation possible, we also care about making positive changes in the lives of our guests and employees as well as sustaining the environment to leave the world a better place. Unlike Royal Caribbean, Carnival, MSC Cruises and Norwegian, Celebrity doesn't load up the top of its ships with sprawling waterparks, go-kart tracks, laser tag courses and other flashy, family-focused diversions. During the winter, the line will move most of its ships to the Caribbean, but also send a few to Asia, Australia and South America. Celebrity's Solstice Class and Millennium Class ships are even smaller at around 122,000 tons and 91,000 tons, respectively. On the ABC Islands and St. Maarten (on the Dutch side), Dutch is the official language, but locals also speak Papamiento, a hybrid of Dutch, Spanish, and various West African languages.
The famed Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola helped create Eden's look. Every Celebrity vessel has one and sometimes up to four main restaurants where meals are included in the fare, and these dining rooms are at the heart of the dining experience on Celebrity ships. Many passengers have all or most of their dinners in one of these main restaurants. They include two so-called Iconic Suites on each of the line's new Edge Class ships that measure more than 2,500 square feet, including outdoor balcony space. On board our Caribbean cruises, you’ll be surrounded by our famous personalized touches that make every Celebrity vacation a special sailing.
Oddly, all staterooms are labeled as Junior Suites, but while half of them have balconies (180 square feet with 245-square-foot verandas), the other half (190 square feet) don't. It's also interesting to note that, in the ones that do have them, the balconies boast significantly more space than the interior living area does. Basic amenities are included, but what really sets these accommodations apart is that they provide cruisers with private access to ocean air – no need to venture to a public deck.
There's also an exclusive restaurant on Edge Class ships for passengers staying in The Retreat suites called Luminae. Celebrity ships offer a wide range of cabin categories at a variety of price points. You'll find everything from relatively low-cost, windowless "inside" cabins measuring just 181 square feet (perfect for vacationers on a tight budget) to massive, multi-room suites that are 10 times that size (and priced to match). Celebrity Infinity is a favorite among laid-back cruisers — primarily couples and adult friend groups.
The tours are usually led by locals, which means the guides can also give you some good recommendations if you have time before you need to return to the ship. If you're looking for a unique excursion that still gives you the highlights of a European city, I recommend booking a food tour. I've done tours in places like Amsterdam, Budapest, and Paris, and I've never been disappointed. Even though it means paying for lodging and likely a few meals before boarding the boat, getting a good night's sleep before a jam-packed vacation is worth it to me. Paul Brady is the news director at Travel + Leisure and the brand's expert on all things cruise. We believe making our mark on the world means leaving less of a footprint.
“My stateroom, 9164, was a Sky Suite, with a king bed facing a private terrace and a clever roll-open mirror that let natural light into the spacious bathroom. While Signature Suite accommodations are on the smaller side, at 441 square feet, the 118-square-foot balcony still manages to include an outdoor tub with a rain shower so you can soak while taking in the views as you sail. They also include high ceilings, a shower/tub combo, and separate living and sleeping areas. Inside cabins on Celebrity ships run anywhere from 170 to 202 square feet, and they offer everything mentioned above. That said, given the complexity of booking a cruise — there are a lot of decisions to make during the booking process, trust us — we recommend that you use a seasoned travel agent who specializes in cruises.

Oasis Class ships have three main entertainment venues onboard. Found only on Oasis Class ships, the AquaTheater is where Royal Caribbean’s aqua shows are performed, combining diving, slacklining, aerialists, synchronized swimmers, and more. Also located on the pool deck are jacuzzis at each of the four pools, two large cantilevered jacuzzis, and several pool bars. They offer expansive suites, lots of activities that appeal to families, food to cater all tastes, and more ways to have fun than ships that came before it. Oasis is the fourth largest cruise ship, having been surpassed by sister vessels Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas.

The Oasis Class is best for guests who view the cruise ship as the destination, and they offer something for every type of cruiser. Symphony of the Seas was the first ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet to offer Hooked on Seafood, a specialty restaurant specializing in New England-style seafood. Those dining at Hooked on Seafood can start their meal with starters such as Fresh-shucked Oysters, Clam & Crab Chowder, and Ceviche. Entree highlights include the Messy Fish Sandwich, Drunken Mussels, and Maine Lobster Roll. The pool deck on Oasis of the Seas was transformed into a Caribbean-style pool deck during the amplification, with colorful decor, comfy seating, casita lounge areas, and extra jacuzzis.
You could easily spend one week on the ship without spending a dollar on food. Sky Class passengers get all that, plus concierge service, exclusive activities, suite lounge and concierge club access, priority departure and more. Star Class passengers get all that plus complimentary gratuities, specialty dining and deluxe beverages. Like all Royal Caribbean cruise ships, Oasis of the Seas provides complimentary childcare programming through the ship’s Adventure Ocean program. As a plus, Oasis of the Seas has the updated version of Adventure Ocean, which gives more flexibility in activities and enhanced play spaces for passengers 6 months to 17 years old. The Oasis Class is an extremely popular choice for families, as the ships can cater to guests of all ages.
On the world’s largest cruise ships, bigger means bolder adventures. There isn’t a holiday in the world that packs more adventure into one week than Oasis Class ships – Harmony®, Allure®, Symphony®, Oasis®, Wonder® and Utopia of the Seas℠. Oasis of the Seas Vs. Harmony of the Seas

Named Best for Families in the Cruise Critic’s Choice Awards, Harmony of the Seas® delivers thrills to explorers of all ages. Each age group has their own room in Adventure Ocean that features age-appropriate programming and activities. This complimentary venue is available to guests of all ages and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Solarium bridge wings offer a fantastic view for sailaway or sunset.

Activities on the ShipWith so much space on Oasis of the Seas, you’d expect there to be plenty to do. In fact, we think it’s a good thing the ship normally sails longer itineraries as just a few days isn’t enough to experience everything. Combined, that makes Oasis-class ships like this one different from anything else in cruising. That means even if you’ve sailed other ships — including other types in the Royal Caribbean fleet — you haven’t had the same experience as sailing on Oasis of the Seas. This is the ultimate specialty dining experience for culinary connoisseurs. Swirl through a champagne bowl funnel in Supercell℠, part of The Perfect Storm℠, the boldest waterslides at sea.
During our trip aboard Oasis the casitas were available on a first-come, first-served and filled up quickly. We’ve seen other ships where there is a reservation system and a charge attached. Even so, it’s a good idea to snag one early if you want to have some shade. Enjoy an Open-Air Breakfast in Central ParkOfficially, Central Park isn’t listed as a spot serving breakfast.

Essentially, a cruise ship “class” is a grouping of ships that all share similar features. Every decade or so, a cruise line will put out a new class of ships that are designed to be, typically, bigger, better and more impressive than its past cruise ships. The theater is something completely unique to Oasis-class ships. Sometimes it is fully up and performers can walk on the water. There are fountains to spray water, diving platforms, lights, and more. EntertainmentRoyal Caribbean always places a big emphasis on entertainment, and Oasis is no different.
Public areas throughout the ship, including the Royal Promenade, are wide and spacious — almost cavernous. While other ships in the fleet have a similar promenade setup, the size and space provided on Oasis is like nothing else. One of the largest ships in the world, Oasis of the Seas makes an impression even before you board; the mega-ship looms above its counterparts.
Fortunately, Perfect Day at CocoCay offers tons of delicious dining options to satisfy all your cravings. A daily stateroom attendant dedicated to making sure your stay is spectacular. Nightly turn down service so you can rest easy before the next day’s adventures.
