INCOMING GRADUATE STUDENTS Graduate students who have applied to the University of Georgia can register for housing in The Dawg House prior to being admitted by the University. Dining on campus
Similar to the UGA Code of Conduct, you should be familiar with the policies and guidelines set forth in the guide. Contract
We want you to graduate—there is no penalty if you notify us by the deadline. Only Brown, Building 1516, Busbee, Mary Lyndon, McWhorter, Myers, Oglethorpe, Payne, Reed, Rooker, Rutherford, Soule and Vandiver are available for room sign-up. All other halls are reserved for incoming first-year students and not available for returning residents. If your space is available, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us you are interested in keeping your room as long as you register by Jan. 21. When you choose a space, your roommate/s will be whoever else chooses the remaining spaces in that unit (first-year student/s with the same designated gender as you).

You might also consider bringing a small tool kit and a pen for filling out forms at check in. Mail is delivered by the United States Postal Service to the central mailboxes assigned in each area or hall. In University Village Housing and the Health Sciences Campus (HSC) mail is delivered by the U.S. For most students, move in for fall 2024 begins Friday, August 9. Spring Graduate University Village/Health Sciences Campus Resident Checkout
After appointment times, room selection will be open until all spaces have been filled. If you are already in a single room, register to participate in room sign-up before the Jan. 21 same-room deadline. All other single rooms are first-come, first-serve during the appointment process. Most single rooms are in Payne and Building 1516, but private bedrooms are available in many halls, including the East Campus Village apartments, Soule, Reed and Myers Hall. From there, you’ll have access to rates, amenities, maps, 360-degree images, photos, room plans and videos to help you decide on your ideal on-campus space. All residence halls have secure two-factor building access, WiFi and Ethernet internet access, laundry rooms, study lounges, community kitchens and access to a 24-hour desk. Being in a roommate group allows both roommates to assign each other to a space (during appointment times or on same-hall day). If you find any room with an empty space you may reserve it for your roommate and vice-versa. Students should plan to leave the residence halls May 8, 2024 at 12 p.m. If you are moving to a summer school space, your space will be available May 11 at 2 p.m. If your summer space becomes available earlier, the residence hall director for the building will contact you via email.
New Student Hub
Create a roommate group if…You want to search for other students by their profile name or if you want to search for other students by answers to the roommate profile questions. These webinars are intended for incoming first-year students and their supporters for fall 2024. They will include a 20-minute presentation by a housing staff member and 40 minutes for participant questions. W07 will be reserved for residents moving out of Creswell and Black-Diallo-Miller beginning May 6 at 7 a.m.
Summer School Students
We believe living on campus provides an opportunity for students to learn and practice skills that promote student success and create thriving communities. Dawg Path is a curricular approach to this learning students experience in the residence halls. Although most students receive appointment times to choose, some students will be assigned a space.

The UGA Housing YouTube channel also offers 360-degree video tours and room tours guided by students who live with us. Appointment times to choose a space will be granted in the order in which current students complete the returning student registration in The Dawg House. During your appointment time, you will still be able to pull them into your round and assign them a space with you if you are in a roommate group. Although living on campus is a requirement for your first year, students living in Clarke County and the surrounding counties can file for an exemption to the requirement.
Residents (will leave) with strategies to create community in multiple settings.
